Medium Pressure Turbodrop® XL Operating Instructions

Medium Pressure TurboDrop® XL NOZZLE:
Optimal pressure range: 30-90 psi. At higher pressures the droplets will get somewhat smaller. The XL may be operated up to 120 psi.

Higher pressures (50-120psi) are recommended for penetration into dense crop canopies and for better coverage with contact chemicals.

The original high-pressure TurboDrop® is best for penetration into a dense crop canopy.

At lower pressures, the spray angle of the exit tip will narrow by approximately 10-15% (making a 110° degree tip essentially a 90-100° tip). Make necessary boom heighth adjustment for desired overlap. (For 20" spacing, a height of 18"-36" is recommended.)

Medium Pressure TurboDrop® XL VENTURI:
The Venturi must be correctly matched to the exit tip. The Venturi controls the flow rate; the exit tip determines the pattern only.

Extended range, turbo flat fan, flood tips, hollowcone tips, and others may be used with the XL venturi. Simply choose a tip with double the flow rate of the venturi. *Some exit tips may not be capable of these minimum operating pressures. (Please consult Greenleaf Technologies.)

Always test any combination that you intend to use.
